Objective:


Conduct an in-depth story diagnosis to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of an existing movie script, providing findings and actionable recommendations for improvement.

Duration:


Two-day intensive Cocreation Session (12 hours)

 

Session Structure:


Day 1:

 

  • 1. Introduction (1 hour):

    • Welcome and Overview: Set the stage for the story diagnosis process.

    • Importance of Story Diagnosis: Discuss how a thorough analysis can enhance storytelling and audience engagement.

 

  • 2. Understanding Story Elements (1 hour):

    • Elements of a Strong Narrative: Break down essential components, including premise, character arcs, plot structure, and thematic coherence.

    • Introduction to Story Beats: Explore the significance of key plot points and character developments.

 

  • 3. Script Analysis Framework (2 hours):

    • Beat by beat breakdown of the script

    • Establishing Criteria: Define the criteria for evaluating the script, considering narrative flow, character motivations, and thematic consistency.

    • Case Study Discussion: Analyze excerpts from successful scripts as examples.

 

Day 2:

 

  • 4. In-Depth Script Analysis (2 hours):

    • Individual Reading Session: Participants read the provided script individually.

    • Group Discussion: Facilitate a comprehensive discussion on the script, focusing on identified strengths and weaknesses.

 

  • 5. Breakout Analysis Teams (60 minutes):

Note: You must provide a beat-by beat script breakdown of your script a week ahead of our Co-creation Session. The timing and depth of analysis will be adjusted based on the complexity of the script and the preferences of the participants. We will foster an environment that encourages constructive criticism and collaborative problem-solving.

Price:

$850 for one person

We cap the maximum number of participants in each Co-creation Session to 5 people to maximize its effectiveness.

Terms:

iJOT Story Consulting agrees to hold all Confidential Information in strict confidence and not to disclose or reveal any Confidential Information to any third party without the prior written consent of the Disclosing Party. iJOT Story Consulting shall only use the Confidential Information for the Purpose and shall take all necessary precautions to prevent unauthorized disclosure or use of the Confidential Information. Confidential Information may include, but is not limited to, Story Idea and its purpose, MVSO derived from the idea, business plans, financial information, trade secrets, know-how, technical information, and any other proprietary or sensitive information related to the Purpose, which is to develop the Story Idea into a MVSO delivery to the Disclosing Party.
